Best courses in b Eco if planning to transfer to b Comm?

Depends on what you major in. What do you intend to major in? (eg accounting, economics, business tax, marketing, management) But for a first year BEco, you're core subjects do overlap with core subjects of BCom. Enrol in ACCT1501, ECON1101, ECON1203 and one more subject. The last one should...

    Comm/Law - Quant Methods

If you're looking to transfer, then do subjects that are align with your strengths so your WAM is higher. If you like maths, then QMA would be a good elective.

That an if you "underload", you'll have to make up for those missing units of credits by either extending your degree or taking up summer school.

Difference between com/arts and com (lib studies)?

Pretty much. The duration and the fact you're doing two degrees! (minor things like Gen Eds: no gen eds in Com/Art, gen ed in Com lib). The difference in what you study is in the subjects you choose when you're in the program! Not necessairly by program name. :) Wouldn't worry too much...

    Comm/Sci (Adv. Maths) vs Comm/Sci

I'm doing Com/Sci. You can only choose one major in Business and one major in Science. Adv maths is probably the hardest stream of undergrad maths (probably wrong - I run from numbers). Probably, you can only undertake some hard maths subjects once they accept you in that program (Adv Maths)...

Yes but I think there are requirements. You'll need to contact head lecturers, etc.

    What would you choose??

Haters :P Sports management sounds awesome, especially in this culture. I know of some government spots and sports organisation positions that need someone to fix it up on administrative. Otherwise marketing - broad discipline.

    USYD vs. UNSW internationally

Depends what degree. UNSW would excel in overseas recognition for Accounting and Psychology. USyd would excel for most other disciplines.

    What you hate about UNSW

Getting to Randwick Racecourse on a busy exam day.

Best places near UNSW to hang out etc.?

Unibar as a local wateringhole. The Rege or The Don if you want to class it up and don't mind the walk. EQ is close if you don't mind the bus ride. It's always dead though. Otherwise stay on campus, or go to the city.

Lecture notes > Textbook when you get around to studying it. If you're short on cash, don't buy the textbook - and just read it in the Library when you need it.
