They're building SA3 which should be open next year I believe, and Laurus Wing Stage 2 will be open soon as well so they can move 3rd years and later into there.

I've moved this into a new thread so it's easier to discuss. With any subject combination the only advice we can really give is that if you work hard and achieve high marks then that will lead to a high ATAR.

Does your Confirmation of Entry reflect that?

Grades are not really of concern to Centrelink, but they most certainly can obtain enrolment information, and in any case you'll end up filling out the online form to tell them that you've changed institutions. In your case I don't think so.

Last year there was one person in my class who had all their exams in the first five days, and one very unlucky person who had five exams in the first five days and then one exam on the second-last day. There's nothing you can do about it :(

They offer 20-week contracts to people who are only going to be there for one semester of the year, I think. You should phone them and check. Which residence are you thinking about BTW?

You have to pay for mid-semester and mid-year breaks, but your contract ends in November after exams etc.

They've obviously made an effort not to publicise it... I think this could be linked to the accomodation shortage and them not wanting to have to dishonour their first year accom guarantee.

Assuming your UWS program was a bachelor's degree, you most likely have a debt to the Commonwealth if you were enrolled in courses on the relevant semester's census date (for Semester 1 this is 31 March). In this case you should have at some point in April of that year received a Commonwealth...

I'd assume if you're no longer receiving the old Commonwealth Scholarship, they'd pay you if you're otherwise eligible. You can always call them and ask.

How many students in each class?

There's a lot of people who failed the MATH1115 mid-semester here at ANU, although there's somewhat of a consensus that the test was just too hard this time. But then the finals are worth 50-60%, so we should be able to catch up and pass.

Which subject are you talking about in particular?

As a friend you're only obligated to try to help him - if he doesn't take up your advice and work harder then there's not much you can do really.

I obviously don't have any experience here, but I think it would depend on the exact nature of the courses and the uni. At ANU we have Bush Week at the start of Semester 2 which I've heard is sort of O-week-ish and probably helps the mid-year entrants a bit. As for prerequisites, my Science...
