    AoS eco

This is fair. ...but, it's why I think there's actually quite a lot to talk about in terms of inflation. It really lets you get nitty gritty with whether macro policies have been effective throughout the pandemic. In particular, there's a whole talk about waiting till inflation rates get back...

Lol. I reckon they're going to be based on labour market policies, macro policies, full employment, inflation.

    advice for yr10?

Oddly enough, how you write your response is just as important as what you know. Take a look at your past exam papers and look at what feedback your teacher has left for you. Jot these down on a separate piece of paper. After a while, you will have compiled a pretty good list of where your areas...

    Dropping Subjects

I'd say drop history ext and one history, leaving you with 10 units. SOR is very easy. Maths is a matter of mind numbingly doing papers. Chem isn't so rote focused. History is more rote focused. Eng is also more rote focused.

how can I use other peoples notes??

Just to add to everyone's advice, use these notes as a primer. Since they're probably summaries, and written in a way that made sense to another student, you'll find that it'll probably make sense to you too. Read these and then make your own notes afterwards. Totally irrelevant, but the science...

How to study for Economics (Question, not answer... YET!)

Good question. So, your first set of notes will do just that. What you'll find after completing them is that there's a lot of overlap. You'll also realise that not all the content is actually important. And you'll get a feel of this when you attempt a few papers. The end result is that your 5...

How to study for Economics (Question, not answer... YET!)

So, that's sort of the point of cutting it down. Otherwise you're still in this limbo of trying to put everything into your notes. And, that's not the goal. Exactly. A lot of the same stats can be recycled. Key concepts + key stats is the takeaway here.

How to study for Economics (Question, not answer... YET!)

This a good question, and I don't think there's one right answer. From a psychology standpoint, you don't have the prerequisite knowledge to distinguish between the content you should and shouldn't remember. So, for the time being, just get a solid set of notes down first. Stick to a budget of...

How to study for Economics (Question, not answer... YET!)

Riley is better at providing in-depth analysis. Pretty much no holes in its content, as far as I'm concerned. Dixon is better at explaining the content. The appendix section is really good, too.

How to study for Economics (Question, not answer... YET!)

Tim Riley is more comprehensive, Tim Dixon is easier to understand. The best resource is someone else's notes, though. Read that first, and then read the textbook. You'll read and absorb 2x faster. Works 100% of the time, 80% of the time.

My Goal For An Immortal Generation.

Lol, it is pretty intense. But since we're on the topic of consciousness and stuff, here's a shower thought for you all. We commonly like to think that our mind and body are separate. That, we have a soul in our physical body. But, all our emotions and thoughts that make up our consciousness...

    How to Band 6 Economics

So, I think I can break this down into somewhat of a checklist for you. It's works best when followed chronologically, at least based on how I've taught it and what my students have found useful. It's set up in a way that builds on your understanding over time. You'll more readily get new...

Advice for going into Year 12

No. Sure, HSC will be tough. And there'll be times that you'll be stressed. But, I promise you that it's not a grind day-in and day-out. If you can manage 2 hours of study everyday, give or take, you'll be fine. This will leave you a few hours every day to hang with friends or just chill out by...
