You can always follow them up about it. Just go see them in your free periods or lunch and get them to through the essay with you. Just remember that they're not gonna make an effort with you if you don't make an effort with them.

How do you know that you will need tutoring? Tutoring isn't a necessity for a high ATAR. If you put in the effort and get good marks, then you won't need tutoring.

So I just got my physics/chem results check/raw marks back. Apparently a 63 in chem aligned to an 80, and 74 in physics aligned to an 83. WHAT THE FUCK EVEN Aligning for phys/chem was horrible this year :(

It comes up in 2U series and sequences, but I think it's pretty rare for the AM-GM inequality to appear outside of 4U.

Your teacher probably taught it to you because it isn't a difficult concept, and it can help with some of the nastier 3U differentials, but it is a 4U technique. 3U will never get a question that involves implicit differentiation.

Yeah the method that asianese showed is implicit differentiation, which only comes up in Extension 2.
