Mark Check is it worth it?

I know the feel. Physics trial, 89%, 17 marks ahead of everyone else (not even joking). Nek minnut, 83 hsc mark.

Mark Check is it worth it?

I'm gonna bet that my exam supervisors got my exam mixed up with their bingo cards.

Mark Check is it worth it?

Cheers man. Not only did I not get a B6, I was veeeeery lucky to get a B5. I'm stunned tbh :( I'm more surprised with physics though. From looking at the answers posted on here, I got 18/20 for mc and full marks for calculations, but only ended up with a low B5 as well. I'm gonna be pretty...

    ATAR prediction based on results

School rank has no effect on ATAR, only marks do. I get about 92ish.

Mark Check is it worth it?

Yeah chem will be one of the ones I'm checking. Especially since I barely scrapped a B5 when my experienced HSC marking teacher said I would get a solid B6. Something seems wrong to me.

Mark Check is it worth it?

I'll be checking a couple of mine. Even accounting for the harsh marking schemes, some of my results were up to 10 marks below where I thought they would be. Praying for an error by the BOS, but I'm not hopeful :(

Was 2012 HSC 4U paper the hardest?

Yeah the mechanics/conics made the last question quite doable. There was only 5 marks worthy of being in Q16 imo, which was the resolution of the forces by creating your own angle. I couldn't believe the first part of Q16 made it in there. It was an absolute gift.

Was 2012 HSC 4U paper the hardest?

Yeah, my teacher told be that 1993 was fucking insane, harder than 2000. Never attempted it though. I probably should have.

    Question!!

It's very unlikely for ANYONE, regardless of their school rank, to get a B6 in standard. It's something like 64 band 6's for standard every year.

Was 2012 HSC 4U paper the hardest?

It was one of the easiest papers IMO. If you want so see a hard paper, look at 2000 or 2003. Those years were crazy. Another reason I hate MC is it seems like the standard of 4U papers is dropping. 2012 and 2013 were fairly simple when compared to papers in the old format. Lol, I'm pretty sure...

Someone please clarify how hard maths open book test is.

Not really. My school ranks ~250, and I found my schools papers harder than Ruse's.

    maths integration help

You're better off asking your teacher if you're struggling rather than flooding the forum with questions because I can't actually tell if you need help, or you just want the answers given to you.

    Question!!

Possible, but very unlikely. It would even be unlikely for the person ranked first to get a high band 5.

Is my ATAR screwed because of my ranks?

Touch and go whether you get 70. You are ranked very poorly, but your school rank is quite high, so really depends on how your cohort performs to see if/how far they bring your marks down.

    Roll over test? gg life

Lol. Your teacher obviously has no idea about how poorly standard english aligns. Don't listen to her. Keep advanced.

What type of Maths is in Physics Year 11 and 12?

Physics is designed so that someone not taking HSC maths is able to take the course, however they would be at a serious disadvantage. The maths you encounter is very basic (Right angled trig, basic algebra) which imo defeats the purpose of physics, but still. If you have a grasp of these...

    Final Atar estimate

    87. I don't think your maths will pull you down much at all.

What does it mean by 50/50 external and internal marks?

The marks don't count, but the ranks do. Hence why in class assessments are extremely important.
