Should I do Maths Ext. 2?

Thats a bit better, but I remember that I would devote all my study periods plus 1 or 2 hours a night just completing 4U homework, and then studying on top of that. If you're having extra periods for 4U, you might struggle to keep up with the content.

    Quick Projectile Question (2)?

But at the point where it hits the wall, the projectile has vertical velocity from the initial projection. Given that it hits the building at the same height that it is fired from, it has the same magnitude of velocity as it does initially at the point where it hits the building, hence u=-24.43.

    Quick Projectile Question (2)?

It's there, I just skipped a couple steps. In the first part, I just divided everything by t, giving 0=24.43-4.9t In the second part, t=10 and u=-24.43, hence ut equaling -244.3.

    Significant figures help!!!!

Yeah you round to the least accurate measurement, which in this case is 2 sig figs.

    Quick Projectile Question (2)?

Hmm. This question is pretty ambiguous, but here's how I would go about it: \text{a) }92.5km/hr=25.69ms^{-1} s_{y}=ut+\frac{1}{2}at^{2} \text{s=0, u=25.69sin72, a=-9.8} 0=24.43-4.9t t=4.99s \text{Overall flight time is 14.99s} \text{Assuming that when the projectile hits the building, it...

Do you write or type your notes?

I hand write mine. Much easier for diagrams, plus I feel that I take it in more. And I don't see the point of writing more than one set of notes, or using someone else's notes. Your notes should just be something you can skim over to remember the content that you put in your own words.

    "Do past papers"

That's probably the worst thing you can do. If you just assume you're answering everything correctly, it defeating the purpose of doing past papers, which is to improve your exam technique. If you just assume you answered everything correctly, you won't see anything you need to improve on. And...

How did you find your job?

But they usually give preference to people that actually show their face when applying. Applying online means that the store can't get any indication as to whether you will be a hard working employee, or a dropkick who doesn't even bother to show up half the time.

    Need Motivation

Try a different sleeping pattern. Go to sleep when you get home and wake up around 6 or 7, then try and study. This worked well for me, because I found that I studied best between like 8 at night till 1 or 2 in the morning, and sleeping when I got home from school meant I was still getting...

How did you find your job?

You're very unlikely to get a job by just sending in online applications. Handing in your resume in person is more personal, and the store might be more likely to hire you if you look smart/presentable.

    help with exam questions

For part d), they touch when they are equal to each other, so replace y with mx-6, so the quadratic becomes: x^{2}-x(2+m)+9=0 For tangency, the line can only touch once, ie. One real root, so you let the discriminant equal 0 and solve for m.

Will I be able to get a high enough mark in English?

Original Poster. But for your question, if you get a band 5 it shouldn't hurt your ATAR, and it isn't that hard to achieve. I didn't even read some of my texts and I'm still expecting a high band 4. I did do a lot of practice essays though, which is the key to good results in English.

    A bit curious

They are almost guaranteed an E1, so it's extremely unfair on your schools part to let them take Ext. 1 because they will bring the class's marks down. Year 10 gives a good indication of natural mathematical ability, because nobody studies, so all test results are all based on natural ability. A...

    Quick Projectile Question?

    A bit curious

I don't think 5.2 kids have a chance either tbh. My school only lets the very top of 5.3 do Ext. 1, and a lot of them generally drop out, so if the top maths kids in year 10 find ext. 1 difficult, I don't see how anyone from 5.1 or 5.2 could do well enough to make it worthwhile.
