    Weren't you told all this at induction?! We were I think it's because the rostering system sees (say shift is 1800-0200) 1800-2600 - thus subtracts 1800 from 2600 to get the hours of the shift.. Probably also helps in the fact that people don't have to look at 2 pages for 1 shift. - it shows it...
