    Rules for Customers

We're not 'allowed' to either. Most of the cashiers actually had to sign forms stating that they wouldn't touch cards, let alone press cheque/savings/credit. Although I've never seen, nor signed this document, so I'm just relying on what everyone else is 'supposed' to do.

    christmas casual question

If you manage to get something more permanent that christmas casual, ie part time/casual that will continue into the next year, then two weeks in january MIGHT be ok. You should be upfront when you are asked about your availabilities, or be prepared to resign if they dont give you the leave you...

    The Woolworths Thread

Thats right, it will only accept one, because the register reads a staff discount card as an everyday rewards card, just allows that 5% discount as well.

how much money have you spent on study guides, tutoring, study camps etc.?

Everyone needs a set of these. I'm just really lucky because I can claim any pen/highlighter I buy on tax (my work is really stingy and they make you supply your own pens). The tax department can just believe that I lose a pen on every shift.

Who hasn't put in their uni preferences?

I did mine on the very first day they were open, only because I knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted to preference them. But, I'm the only person I know who has already done them.

Too late to get a UAI of 95+?

Yes it is possible. But you can't rely on your previous results, as HSC is a whole new ball game. Don't look to far ahead. You are doing well now, but make sure you keep up the current workload and be willing to increase it when need be.

    The Woolworths Thread

Re: Woolworths Question Don't worry, at least a week is normal. Its common for them to do a stack of interviews and then assess the candidates. And, as already said, watch your emails, because thats where they'll tell you what to do next, (ie second interview/induction etc)

What does your study area look like? [POST PHOTOS]

Its funny, I did the same thing for the same topic. But mine isn't nearly as organised as yours, and now I'm tempted to make a new one. And put it in a place where I'm likely to look at it more.

    course selection process at uni

You have nine preferences. It shouldn't matter which order your preferences are in, as long as they are in the order which you want to receive them, and that you have at least one 'safety' preference. DO NOT choose courses simply because you have the UAI for them. That is plain stupid...

What will your UAC preferences be??

If your fourth preference is the one that you really want to get into, then why isn't it first. If by some chance you meet the requirements for one of the first three, you won't even be considered for the fourth preference.

Curious about the cut off mark

Yeh, but like someone else said, the demand for medicine is a lot higher than the demand for arts, thus the medicine cut-off is hugely higher. It doesn't reflect the difficulty of the course (in most cases).
