question.. my friend told me today that 3 unit students marks' for their 2 unit paper are scaled differently to the normal 2 unit students because we have an unfair advantage? id be really angry if that was the case because its the SAME paper and just coz we do 3 unit doesnt mean that some 2 unit students dont have an advantage as well

can anyone verify this or shed some light on the matter???

i was looking forward to this test being the easier of my subjects, i was wrong. I thought i went really bad until i talked to everyone after it, esp. the non 3-unit people and they all told me how bad they went, now i feel better. QUOTE]

this is pretty much how i felt too in a nutshell. i didnt go too heinous...but once i got to 8 and onwards things just went downhill.

but here's a ray of hope for those like me who think 3unit may as well b thrown to the dogs because they feel they're going to go so shit. last year according to general consensus of ppl (not a totally reliable source i will admit but i am scraping the bottom of the bowl for a reason to feel ok abt 3unit) both 2unit and 4unit exams were a bit easier and 3 unit was found to be challenging. so far i have heard both 2unit and 4unit were harder than normal.

please.. PLEASE!!! let there b a rift in the space time continuum so that this year the opposite occurs and we will receive an easier 3unit paper!!! coz i need it god dammit!!!!

ohhhhh maths.. it definitely sucks. i finished the first five questions in the first half hour.. but by the time i got to question eight.. it started getting a bit like wtf? is it thursday already?

i HATE Xuan and Yvette - they are dumb.. the whole time i was doing that question i was thinking. "Hi Yvette, its Xuan.. I'll pick you up in 10 minutes at your place".. ahhhh.. and the payment one at the end of question 8.. wtf. one word = pathetic!

that last question was very obscure. like who would ever think of time in terms of fractions and coordinates on a number plane. moreso who would ever want to calculate the chance of meeting at exactly so and so time. unpractical maths

crap.

Thought that it was one of the hardest 2unit paper in the past 18 years (done 1986-2004). The first part of question 10 was do-able, the 2nd part was bullshit. The question's in general were just hard.

Absolutely dreading 3unit now. *cries*
I agree - appeared to be harder than any of the past HSC papers. Again, overall not too bad. But if this sets the tone for the 3u paper... i dont think i want to know...

Found it challenging for a 2u paper- I got 10b perfectly, but couldn't do 10a properly *sigh* And I didn't get the triangle one on q9 I think.

Question 10 was really challenging especially part b. *dies*

My pace was constant till it got to Question 7, then came 9.. then 10.. -___-

Overall, it was really tough for a 2 unit.

I was murdered by the test! At first you think that you are on time or even a little fast but then it smacks you right in the face with that stupid Xuan and Yvette who can't be on time and you try to answer as much of the question as possible until you realise you have to go back to the questions you skipped just to get to the end... *sniff* ... yep.

This test is one of those tests that will 'discriminate' between 2unit and 3unit students quite a bit. Good for 3unit kids, not so good for 2unit kids :(

Maybe 3u will be super easy?

The thing is- in some schools they combine 2u and 3u into one class so it becomes really hard to tell what to study for... but then by the same token, it also means we're better prepared for really challenging 2u papers (eg. yesterday's one).
