I'm not too sure what you mean... but a friend of mine is doing 3U Maths, 3U English and the 3 sciences, therefore leaving her a spare line for free periods.

I'm pretty sure you are allowed study periods as long as you do a minimum of 12 units.

At my current school, if you do 14 units (max) you don't have any study periods. The timetable has been made so that you only get study periods if you do 13 units. (min)

I'm guessing its school policy?.. But I'm probably wrong.

You are allowed to have stuy periods. Next yr I have all 8 lines full but since english extension is only 1 unit I get to have 3 study periods "Free Periods" a fortnight or a week, can't remember. As for My line which has Maths ext. I have some other period like a year meeting so the whole line is full.

Anyway u can get study periods, also get rid of jap :)

um what? no

btw, it not really whether you're 'allowed' to have them, its the result of your subjects on your timetable.
I had none in year 11 due to my subject combination.

his question said allowed..
to which the answer is your allowed study periods in any year..

what your saying is different..subject combinations will obviously
determine if you do get those free periods but that isnt a matter
of being allowed..

its totally feasible that a year 8 stdent has free periods..
he's allowed to have them..

of course..unless he means allowed as in what your saying :)

I had six Free periods or "study lessons" as the teachers like to call it in year 11 cause i did accounting TAFE during Sports session.. meaning i didnt do sport this year. THis year I have 12 free periods a week, in an eight period a day time table. Anyone that does have free periods next year... Use them wisely; Dont kill time.
