he cant base his supirority over me. The way i see it is that he is saying he is better than me as a person and i am scum. He cant base this entirely on his uni. If i went to usyd would he still call me 2nd rate, scum etc etc etc?

Actually, yes. He would then attempt to base ''scumness'' entirely on the type of degree you do at USYD.

I dont see how that answered my question. When people call me scum, I demand to know why. If he's baseing upon my choice of uni then he's being extreamly silly. I dont tolerate people making personal remarks. Being called scum is not very nice indeed.

He doesn't have anything to support his claim, he doesn't know you, really he doesn't know anything about you, he didn't like something you said so instead of dealing with it he called you names. Deal with it.
