Spirited Away. Definitely. The music and the story go SO WELL together. One of the only movies I am really satisfied with seeing the end of. In English OR Japanese.

old thread but okay...

Zentropa/ Europa (1991)- really beautiful imagery
Idi I Smotri (Come And See) (1985)- amazing use of historical footage.
Moulin Rouge!
Romeo + Juliet
Lilya- 4ever (2002)- depressing.
Dogville (2003)- shocking, will definately give out a strong moral reaction
The Matrix- just coz of the Rage Against The Machine song.
Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer- disgusting, but so memorable
The Deer Hunter: It will destroy you.

The Dark Knight Rises ending... wasn't the best... but that moment at the end when you suddenly remember what Alfred told Bruce earlier in the movie... ahh...

I agree, when it comes to endings, you can't look past The Usual Suspects. I can't really say why it's brilliant without spoiling it but the movie itself is worth watching just to see how the end plays out.
Y Tu Mamá También also has quite a surprising but sad ending that's worth noting.
