Nope, that wouldn't be true though. There are Viet Chinese, Malay Chinese, Singapore Chinese, etc in our Non-Background class. The only criteria for background is that you would have to be: 1. born in Mainland, HK or Taiwan, 2. Don't speak any Chinese dialect at home. That's all I can think of.

hmm really...
I was born in Aus, and I dont speak Chinese at home, but my parents sometimes speak to me lol. I just talk back in English.

umm FINS1612 is lots of theory FINS1613 is more practical, applying formulae and such
personally, I found FINS1612 more easy but idk, depends on the person, I suppose

I'd say FINS1612 is also easier. FINS1613 is... yeah.

FINS1612 is more basic, it's a foundation course for Finance.

if you are not considering a major in finance but still want to do some finance, thne do fins1613 that way it will count to your flexible core. FINS1612 does not

Nope just lectures. At UNSW law lectures = tutorials. The researrch tutorial in Foundies is just some random class.
