I found that UMAX is a little bit higher than SAM.

um..question:

Which do you guys reckon is more accurate- SAM or Einstein?

SAM gave me a certain figure, Einstein gave me 0.05 less than that figure.

But SAM gave a LOWER aggregate and Einstein a HIGHER aggregate.

huh?:cold:

I echo that "huh?"

I haven't used Einstein so feel free to ignore, but do both programmes use data from the same year to make the estimates?

well, Einstein 2009 gives 2 estimates:

1. UAI 2008
2. ATAR

And for the first figure, it was the same was SAM, but for the ATAR figure, it was reduced by 0.05.

I thought that in the pamphlet we got from BOS the ATARs trend at the top upwards? Not down?

Can someone whose probably read the pamphlet more carefully than I clarify whether say a predicted high 99s would actually go down (slightly) under ATAR?

That and the differing aggregates confuses me. I'm inclined to believe SAM because the high aggregates of Einstein sound fishy.

i know heaps of people who did their hsc last year and they all used umax and sam and both gave almost the same calculation which was only off their uai's by about 0.10 - 0.15 of mark.
