Re: Lost - Discuss Future Episodes Here!

Re: Lost - Discuss Future Episodes Here!

another long and uninformative episode.

*kate and soyer have been flirting with each other
*jack continues to sit in his cell
*sun was having an affair with her english teacher who then killed himself after being on assaulted by jin by request of suns dad. kind of unsure whether jin knows that they actually had an affair.
*they lost their sail boat to the others (wow...that must have been less than 48 hours)
*sun, jin and sayid are now going stranded on the other side of the island (other..lol...pun...funny)
*sun once told a lie when she was 6 years old *gasp

lost is really starting to lose its flavor with the others no longer appearing to be ghost-like mystical superbeings and there being less and less supernatural occurances on the island (with all previous supernatural occurances appearing to have been forgotten about/never explained)

Re: Lost - Discuss Future Episodes Here!

* He might not have killed himself. Sun's dad might have sent a second guy to make sure the job got done.
* Jin doesn't know about the affair, otherwise he would have nailed the guy to a cross upside down.
* We find out that Sun is the equivalent of a spoilt brat (aka North Shore bitch) [From the flashback scene] - which draws links to her father's treatment of her when he finds her in bed with baldy.

I still want to know what that fine iron dust that takes physical form was. I'm thinking nanobots acting as a replicator(from stargate)eque machine.

Re: Lost - Discuss Future Episodes Here!

oh yeah and

*Jin apparently can understand english fairly well now. he didnt secretly learn it like Sun since there was that episode when Sun becomes pregnant and it went to a first person view of Jin and he couldnt understand what anyone was saying.

So it seems that in about 2 weeks after being able to speak maybe half a dozen words of english he can now understand it well enough to know when people are conspiring against him. Id give him another month before hes speaking fluent english as well as writing his own novel, and maybe a few more days till he completes his English Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree.

Re: Lost - Discuss Future Episodes Here!

The latest one was alright - but it is starting to slow down - we didn't even cut to the others!

there are 4 episodes left in this block, so they should be starting to set up the 'mini-cliffhanger' story arc soon.

then it starts again in january - but by then 24 will be on, so lost will go down in the priority chain...

Re: Lost - Discuss Future Episodes Here!

i am assuming, knowing from previous experience, and what they have said. In the podcast a while back, they said they would end this episode block with a 'mini cliffhanger', and the writers generally set it up about 2-3 episodes beforehand....

I do stand corrected though, it was three episodes left....

Generally the good episodes (that contain crucial information) are written by the executive producers/creators - it is a good way to look out for 'crucial' episodes in a slowly developing show like lost. Thre finale being one of these.

We know this because on the ABC channel (tv network that airs lost in the US) have scheduled a new show called daybreak in lost's slot from 15th november until february. use http://www.thefutoncritic.com to find out all of this stuff and more

episode 4 was pretty decent, we had a sawyer-centric one and we learned of his experiences in gaol and that he has a daughter.

we also learnt that there is something a bit suss about desmond

meanwhile sawyer and kate were trying to escape from their cages but sawyer was conned into thinking that he had a pacemaker put into his heart so he didn't escape

jack assisted that random chick in trying to save a shot person, but they died

lots more learnt about the people known as 'the others'

and their leader showed sawyer they are on a different island to the one that we are used to

Re: Lost - Discuss Future Episodes Here!

yeah that was a pretty good episode.

the last 2 eps have been pretty good compared to most of season two where they just continually throw in random strange occurences without explanation.

there were alot of clues in the last few episodes which can start a few more conspiracy theories and shed a bit of light on a few things, while also keeping it having a little bit of the paranormal.

the music near the ending kind of made the others feel like the good guys. like they actually do have some kind of secret motive.

Re: Lost - Discuss Future Episodes Here!

maybe its common knowledge or it was mentioned before, either ignore or discuss ...

2 interesting things i noticed while watching season 2 ...

season 2 episode 9 - kates dad is the commander in iraq where sayid was captured ...
season 2 episode 14 - sayid interrogates his higher ranking officer after being shown a video and interviewed by the same guy who now works in the hatch for "the others" ...

what is the connection? damn it!!
