Maths 2U to 3U @ end of YR11?
So if i work hard enough i could switch to 3U at the end of the year right?

math 3U in year 11 is quite easy. take that ; and if you cant cope ; just drop down to 2U.

so even if i do real good in maths 2U in yr11 ... i cant move up to 3U maths for yr12?

im not sure mate.
because if you DO move up to 3U in year 12 ; that would require for you to catch up on the 3U work from year 11. = stress ; unecessary hardwork.

Our school doesn't let students move up from 2U to 3U.
But that might just be our school, i'm not sure.
I recommend you just try really hard in 3U straight away.
Dropping down is much easier than moving up.

No, it would be very difficult to move from 2 unit to 3 unit at the end of year 11 because by then you wouldn't have completed all the requirements (i.e. preliminary requirements to move to HSC stage).

Why not try 3 unit now so that you don't have to deal with that issue later.

That's little bit ridiculous. You just started your Year 11!

You should be able to change the course within the first few weeks if not until the end of the first term.

If you are realy dedicated enough for 3 unit, go for it. You won't regret it considering many advantages that can potentially come about (e.g. high scaling, good course in general i reckon, LOL)

study really hard and talk to the subject coordinator.
if you work hard, you will be able to catch up to the standard.

always a good idea to do 3unit from the start and then u can choose to do 4unit later if u do well or something as well

I had the same dilemma at the beginning of yr 11 and i didnt end-up switching to 3unit ... i'm still regreting it.

there should be no reason why they wouldnt let u change up now unless ur yr 10 results were really poor and even still. you dont learn anything hard at the start anyway. good luck tell us how things go

Just ask the head teacher or whoever if you can atleast try it until the first test, usually they will let you.

Ask your year adviser or something if you can move up at end of yr 11

there is no way you can move up from 2u to 3u at the end of year 11. you will have missed all of the year 11 content of 3u! you can only move up to 4u at the end of year 11, or drop down. switch now or give up on wanting to do 3u, because it is not possible to move up at the end of year 11.
