hahaha. that would be a groovy inclusion. Though you would have to keep your character there for days at least.

Do they still have the banana peels (or was it seagull shit?) on the floor which makes you slip over like in MGS2? That was.... strange..
O_O i had no idea mgs2 had bananna peels, but mgs3 does have some dirty mags u can look at ^^

heheheh in this one also if u for eg : swim thru a lake or something, youll arise from it with leeches on you, and u gotta get rid of em, if u get shot, u gotta operate on yourself, its funny how u get HS'ed and get it out with a knife... ive been HS'ed many times and yet im still standing ^^

Operating on yourself to take out a bullet from your head is quite amusing.
Is the procedure automatic or do you have to press buttons in order to get the bullet out?

theres an option called "cure" and u go there for any of your medical conditions

eg, u have a burn, u use ointment to cover ur burn and use bandage to wrap around the ointment =]

u have a food poisoning, u either
a. take a digestive pill
or
b. spin around real fast with the right analogue stick and then exit and watch snake throw up the poisoned food. ^^

i like to pick b most of the time, its just plain amusing ahhaa

So, MG3 came out domestically today. Did anyone else buy it? I haven't progressed very far in the actual game, but i have played quite a bit of Operation: Ape Snake. I love how Kojima is able to take the mickey out of his own games and the fans that play them. Also, Target is selling it for 85 bucks, which is pretty cheap.

I finished it in 3 days. I would have to say that this is my favorite Metal Gear Solid game yet. The pacing of the story was top notch, and the new game mechanics really enhance the gameplay. CQC has made melee attacks much more useful, and camoflage makes evading the enemy less frustrating. I really like Naked Snake as a protagenist, even more so than Solid Snake. The other characters are awesome, especially EVA who is downright gorgeous.
This is definantly in my top 5 favorite games.

The only problem is that the games are rather short. If they could somehow put all the games (from the original Metal Gear - but render it in proper 3D) together, it would be excellent. But that won't be happening any time soon, because the series still has a long way to go ...

story line is still kickas :) would be cool if they remade metal gear

I liked how they left out the radar, it makes you rely on your own vision and hearing to locate enemies. I think it made for a more immersive gaming experiance.

I personally prefer short, high quality games like MGS, Max Payne and Half Life. Not to say I don't enjoy 80hr epics like Xenogears, but only when I have sufficient time to do so.

Also, the MGS are perfect for the occasional replay. A replay not only nets you extra items, you can gain a better understanding of the convoluted storyline and play around with the exceptionally deep gameplay. I'd say 75% of the gameplay options are totally optional.

without radar u learn 2 rely on alot of other things, stealth and wait, 1st person, prone, and silent pistol headshots :) ahahhaah i <3 it how para-medic talks about food and movies hehe and how snake knows nothing about it hehee or how major talks about his bond movies :)

heres a funny tip, wear no camo and talk to that weapon specialist, then wear a zombie mask and talk to him :)

finished it in 3 days too, far out this game is the best of all MGS games. Imagine this game coming out as a sequel to original MGS in 2001, it woulda been so popular comparing poor sales of this game(only 3million copies compare to 5million of MGS1), even though its the best. I just couldnt put the controller down when playing this game.

has anyone played The End boss. far out, it has to be the BEST or THE WORST boss fight EVERrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Man, but im glad i got through it the third go, the freaking oldman keep sneaking up behind me when im lookin for him in first person view.

MASSIVE SPOILER AHEAD

I saved in the battle, reset the playstation and set the system date for a week in the future. When I loaded the game, The End had died from old age.

You can also sniper him off when you see him on the pier towards the beginning of the mission. This saves you from having to fight him later on.

yea, that cheat was designed for people who couldnt handle him. MGS series has always been full of these little cheats, like in original mgs game when u fight pyscho mantis, by simply plugging controller into the second port......

but anyway, The End was really memorable, really inventive....
