If we get a quote / excerpt for mod C, should you write it out verbatim as a type of epigraph before starting your piece or is that a waste of time ? Some tutors say write it out.
Nah, I think that's a waste. But its better than not addressing the quote / excerpt you should have part of it in there, at least the general idea of the excerpt.

how many words would you write for a 12-8 split like 650 for creative and 250-300 for reflection?

So just a few lines of it that are pertinent ? And write them verbatim?
It really depends on the quote / excerpt, you probably don't have to write anything verbatim just close enough so that the marker knows your referencing the quote.

does anyone have advice for persuasive writing😭 cause i've prepared a discursive and imaginative, but so incredibly scared for persuasive cause i havent prepared for it
You could make it a hybrid discursive/persuasive text. That way, you can use the majority of your discursive, but change it a bit so that it appears to be pushing for the reader to agree with your opinion/point of view.
