Latu had a decent game, loveed the qoute " he's like Sonny bill william's stuck in a midget's body". Vagana barely touched the ball, and Covell looked like he gained a yard of pace lol.

I dont get to do this much, but when the Sharks win on a TV match, I give them ratings;

Simmonds - 7 - didn't stuff up as expected and pretty solid whenever he got the ball
Albert - 8 - wouldve got 10 if he didnt fuck up that try, two great 80m runs, one ending up in a try, as well as that awesome jumping try. Brilliant in defence.
Vagana - 6 - yet another quiet one. He's just taking the cash. Still reliable though.
Bailey - 8 - another good game with strong defence and good runs.
Covell - 8 - great kick returns and some strong winging which ended up in 2 tries. Also a great goalkicking game with 6/7.
Kearney - 7 - played his role well and didn't put a foot wrong.
Dykes - 8 - again great and proving that he is the Sharks best of 2006. Hopefully not injured.
Ross - n/a - unlucky.
Kingston - 8 - always underrated, he's the form player in the Sharks side and he's unlucky that hes gotta compete with Tevita Latu. Great tackles and a couple of great kicks.
Douglas - 7 - good try and some explosive runs but none of them really due to him creating them. He's only 19, he's gonna be huge.
Williams - 7 - week in week out does his best. Should be club captain after Dykes.
Thompson - 9 - great runs, excellent defense, and picked out the right time to deliver two pivotal offloads which won the game for us.
Gallen - 9 - just as good as Thommo. Tonnes of hitups and tackles and two line breaks as a backrower cant be bad.

Scott - 7 - wouldve got a 9, but his first half performance was pretty shithouse.
Bird - 7 - good in defense, played shit in attack, where he should be using his goodness.
Latu - 8 - great hits and some great attacking especially the break staright after half time.
Stosic - 7 - good props game. Broken nose.

Good win to the Sharks, and at the moment, its likely that only Vagana will be involved in the test next week, even though Thompson, Covell and Latu deserve jumpers for Aus, NZ, and NZ respectively.

STAINS NEXT WEEK. Fire up Thommo!

Is it just me, or is Darren Alberts pace evry overrated.

He used to be fast, but he now he runs like Covell--- well... not that slow.

He's nowhere near fastest in the league, i wish sumone would point that out to the commentators

Well, he nearly outran Wesser. Remember, the commentators are used to 1997 Albert. Albert is now older and more tanked, so yes, they probably should realise he's not the fastest. But he's still one of the.

But then again, everyone they call 'an absolute speedster' seems slow at one point. They call Wesser Rhys Lightnin - and he gets outrun by many players. I wanna see who people think are the fastest in the NRL

BOSers: Who is the fastest man in league?

possibles;

Shannon McDonell
Darren Albert
Mat Bowen
Chris Walker
Billy Slater
Brett Stewart
Rhys Wesser
Amos Roberts

who's your pick?

I give the prize to Phil Graham. He's fuckin fast.

i reckon mini's lost abit of pace since he switched to fullback, he was electric on the wing back when we won the premiership, amos is probably faster now. what happened to that sprinter at souths a couple of years ago?

btw if you replace "two of our best players" with "eight players unavailable through injury including two of our best players", that sentence sounds alot better.

Phil graham was fastest a few years ago... but currently the fastest would be Shannon McDonnell, Brett Stewart.

But Bowen's acceleration and agility from stand still is fastest and the best

Depends on what distance over which we're judging this speed.
Well there is only max. 120metres in a field...

so i guess 100metres would be the logical distance

It's almost like what the team would be like if you werent cheating the cap, really.

100. I wanna see who's got a bit of fuel in the tank.

Even fuckin Luke Covell can run 40m in a decent time.
