Well obviously get tutored in the subject you're weaker in or have difficulty with the teacher. Or, if you're planning to drop one of them later, get tutored in the one you intend to keep.

How can you say that when you don't even know how well he does in either subject?

I have to disagree. Yeah there are links, and a lot of people that enjoy maths enjoy physics also, but i don't think just being good at maths automatically makes you good at physics. There are other aspects to the subject than just using formulas. You still need to be retain facts and grasp concepts etc. I do have a friend whose favorite and best subject was maths, and they were told they'd do well at physics but they couldn't stand it and didn't really excel at it, then ended up dropping it. And likewise, it's very possible to not be a brilliant maths student but still excel in physics.

So don't make assumptions on how you'll perform in physics based on your maths ability. Like it's been said, get a tutor for which you feel you're weaker in, and also assess what your teachers are going to be like.

Well then you could wait till next year to get tutoring...see which teacher you get if you find their difficulties equal.

If you can't wait until you start the courses next year then i'd advise getting a year 11 study guide or text book for each and go through them and try and get a feel for what the courses are like then go from there. No one on here is going to know which you need tutoring for more than you would. Different people will have different opinions on which is more difficult. I personally find physics easier because i enjoy it more and i just understand it easier then i do chemistry. Where as others would find chemistry easier. It's really a decision no one can make for you. However, if you are having trouble deciding then talk to your science teacher about it, they'd be in the best position to help you decide.

I'm guessing you are going to be going to some tutoring college, and because they start next term for Year 11, you don't know which subject to choose?

Because if that's the case.. It's really hard to determine which subject you're going to struggle at because we don't know you as well as you know yourself.

Why not wait until next year when you know which one you need help in? If you want to get a head start I'd talk to your science teacher about your skills and weaknesses first.
