It's part of the practical/skills/process part, which is supposed to be developed from yr 7 +
They'll ask it in extended/short answer, but also may be in MC.
This stuff is what brought me down in trials..

Oh, and just a question, irrelevant to topic (but shhh), are we allowed to use white out in the exams?
I bought some tape white out, because in trials i had liquid and i had to wait for it to dry, so moved on to another question, and a few times i forgot to go back and write in my answer lololol. So lost marks. *facepalm*
But is it allowed?

LOL.... That's what I always almost do.

The MC sheets are scanned through a computer so I don't think you can for those sections.. I don't see a problem in using it for other times though.

So I guess the closer the element is to them the more reactive the element is

Ok well, I've looked up most things, still a little unsure, but eh.

Filtration: passing mixture through porous medium to separate solid particles from liquid
Distillation: purifying a liquid by heating then condensing vapour into concentrated form.
Centrifuge: mechanical device that spins around (uses centrifugal force) to separate substances
Electrolysis: electric current flows through water to separate it into hydrogen and oxygen
Evaporation: liquid molecules become gaseous (vapor)
Condensation: vapours become liquids

What about elements that have almost empty or almost full shells that want to either lose or gain electrons? So like groups 1 and 2, and 6 and 7?
