Good news:

With just two minutes remaining in the morning’s second session, Schumacher careered off the circuit in the second sector and went backwards into the wall.

Flames plumed from the back of the Ferrari as the German escaped the wreck.

The paddock immediately began to speculate about the health of the Ferrari engine and it could be – if the unit requires replacement – that Schumacher will be starting Sunday’s race from the rear of the grid.
