A full strength Madrid side can't beat an under strength Arse side at home, whoz fault iz that at.

I expect that Madrid will put in a much more convincing display in the second leg...but Arsenal have a great chance of progressing. Henry's goal was all class. Hopefully Man Utd can beat Wigan in the Carling Cup final....even if the Carling Cup is'nt the most prestigious competition.

Arse just lost to Blackburn. Maybe Wenger iz tryin to emulate the Liverpool of last season, finish 5th in the league and win the Championz League.

Meanwhile the blue kuntz keep winnin.

Conquering European giants in midwk, then losing away at places like Blackburn on the wkend...yep does sound like Liverpool 04/05.

I look forward to tastin our first trophy of the season, wit Rio back in defence it should be a hell of a boost to our team. Only weakness iz the midfield, where we only have Fletcher/Richardson/Park to do the job. But still that should still be enough to win against a Wigan side worryin only about their Premiership status.

Erm.. Wigan are playing for European football. Rio has more often than not this season been utter cack, and Brown has quite frankly surpassed him.

Last week against Liverpool I thought we clearly missed the presence of Rio. He could have well dealt wit Crouch and hiz aerial threat. He waz shit durin the beginnin of the season, but recently hez been brilliant, especially the game against Pool at Old Trafford.

There iz an exception, he didn't do too well against Blackburn, but I guess thatz cauz he waz out of position and against Robbie Savage.

Must've been something disciplinary. There are way too many games to go in the season to be benching a key player to keep him injury free for sale.

Very disappointed in the way van Nistelrooy reacted durin the celebrationz, didn't celebrate wit team matez and eventually walked back to the dressin room while everyone waz still celebratin. Sure you might not like bein benched but still show some respect towardz yo team matez.

And now surprise surprise, articlez sayin he'll leave now.

Hey guys, im back after a short hiatus.

Perez quit last night at Madrid. Its seems that finally the real problem in madrid was solved, hopefully the new manager gets some freedom now.

Havent been watching much football, but i did watch the arse v rovers game. Blackburn just thumped them to defeat. If i were the manager of a team playing arsenal right now, i think id rather the likes of tungay, savage, lucas neill and craig bellamy in my team than zizou or raul.

Looking forward to the a-league grand final on the weekend tho. Go the yellows!!!

It appears Becks' intellect has reached dizzying new lows.

Becks can't do son's homework

England football captain David Beckham confessed he is befuddled by his six-year-old son Brooklyn's maths homework.

Beckham, 30, admitted to being baffled when Brooklyn recently asked for help with a school assignment and had to turn to his former Spice Girls pop star wife Victoria to help out.

"Their homework is so hard these days. I sat down with Brooklyn the other day - and I was like, 'Victoria, maybe you should do the homework tonight'," Beckham told the Mail on Sunday newspaper.

"I think it was maths, actually. It's done totally differently to what I was teached when I was at school, and you know, I was like, 'Oh my God, I can't do this'.

"Brooklyn was like, 'Please do it with me', and I'm like, 'I'll read your book with you'."

The Real Madrid midfielder's son attends the exclusive Runnymede College in the Spanish capital, which follows the British national curriculum.

The Mail on Sunday gave examples of some national curriculum maths questions set for seven-year-olds. They include: "Bet went to the shop at 11:45. She came back half an hour later. What time did she come back?" and "What is 12 divided by three?"

Beckham also admitted he had no "lucky'' pre-match routines, with them too being tough to remember.

"I find that if I follow a routine ... it gets to the stage where you are thinking, 'Right, was it the left side ... the left boot I put on first, or the right side?'

"There are so many things that can go through your mind."

Beckham is set to skipper England in Wednesday's friendly against Uruguay at Liverpool's Anfield stadium.

It appearz Ronaldo iz likely to leave Madrid now, so speculation must be back again about van Nistelrooy headin over.

I dunno, not being able to solve first grade maths questions is a pretty serious allegation, Beckham would probably seek legal action if he was misquoted.

CHELSEA TO LAND BALLACK - REPORT

Chelsea have reportedly won the race to sign Michael Ballack and will make the German the highest-paid footballer in the world if and when he signs a four-year deal in the summer.

The Daily Mail claims Ballack has already agreed terms with the Blues and will be paid £121,000 per week.

The German, who will be available on a Bosman free transfer from Bayern Munich from July 1, apparently met with Chelsea officials - including Jose Mourinho - twice last month in London.

Mourinho is said to believe that Ballack would be the missing link in his quest to form the perfect midfield combination.

Should the Bayern star move to Stamford Bridge he would be the latest in an ever-increasing number of players who have snubbed Manchester United in favour of the Blues and their considerable cash.

Sir Alex Ferguson was said to have identified Ballack as his main transfer target before accepting that the player wanted to move to Real Madrid.

Michael Essien, Damien Duff and Arjen Robben have also turned down Fergie to move to the Bridge.

To be fair, The Age isn't just some dodgy net source :p

And no, I won't believe that Ballack's moved to Chelsea until I see it on soccernet or skysports.

Well Ballack duly denied the newz, so come on Fergie, do yo magic and get him to OT.

Apparently another British tabloid reported that the United board iz ready to open up the chequebook to compete wit Chelsea. I don't think many clubz in the world are likely to be able to compete wit the endless pocket of Mr Abramovich so I ain't convinced of that one. But havin Ballack on board can certainly help uz win the title back from the blue kuntz, and make a better challenge in Europe too.
