I chose my subjects last Tuesday, after viewing subject lines at a Subject Counselling Night. I chose:

English (Standard)
Hospitality (Kitchen Operations)
Italian Continuers
Senior Science
PD/H/PE
Studies of Religion II

(12 units)

Hospitality runs from 1.30 pm to 5 pm on Monday afternoons, and 4 from 8 Religion periods will take place before school... which means I have two lines of FREE PERIODS! :D

That's SEVENTEEN 52 min free periods per fortnight. Yay!
:)

I'm doing VCE, but it's relatively the same.
I chose:

Basic English 1/2
Middle band maths 1/2
Biology 1/2
International politics 1/2
Legal Studies 1/2
Religion and Society 3/4
Business Management 3/4

1/2 = year 11 subject
3/4 = year 12 subject
I was allowed to do some year 11 subjects in year 9 and 10.

Soo my subjects have now been confirmed!

English (Advanced)
English (Ext 1)
Mathematics
Mathematics (Ext 1)
Modern History
French Continuers
Biology

I was going to do VA as well, but I've dropped it now. Hoping that I won't regret that decision... but 12 units is much more appealing than 14!

Nice, VA was the lowest scaling subject by far in your list XD

i cannot stress enough the importance of picking your subjects on capability and interest rather than scaling, don't even consider scaling.

do you love it? are you good at it?
well choose it and enjoy your time at school.

u cant do extension 2 maths and extension 2 english in english. these two subjects are only for year 12, therefore, there is only extension 1 english and extension 2 maths. u will decide later whether u wants to upgrade to extension 2 or drop down to either english advanced or 2u maths.
