I'm just curious about what related texts people chose for belonging because I have to choose mine soon.

The Enchantress of Florence - Salman Rushdie.
Lots of insights into belonging, good for Romulus.

EDIT: ALSO brilliant for conflicting perspectives.

The White Masai, WICKED (ftw!), and a picture called fifth avenue by shaun tan. It makes it easier if you have a simpler text such as a painting, cos you can draw all sorts of conclusions without wasting your time with a whole novel, film etc other than the ones you have to study.

I wrote about Call of the Wild (novel) by Jack London in the exam. I studied Once More, With Feeling (TV episode) from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I briefly studied techniques and the plot from Mulholland Drive (film) in case the question couldn't be related to my other two texts, but I didn't use these two at all because the question only specified one.
