    Maths Extension exam... sucked

I failed all of my maths extension 1 exams this year. I feel your pain. If I were you though Bricnic, I wouldn't do Ext2 maths under any circumstances unless you still beat the vast majority of the grade, though you failed.

    physics or maths 2U?

Aye, well it was in my physics textbook "Spotlight Physics" (a curve, not a linear graph), which specified using integral calculus. The textbook does have extension topics though, but usually they are labelled that, while this was at the start of the chapter. btw Kadlil/klaw, we did have...

    physics or maths 2U?

Kadlil, what about when you have to derive the tangent on harder velocity time graphs, and also find the area underneath them?

    Physics yearly

Oh bloody hell I wish I studied that diagram. We had to draw one in the exam (no help, just draw it) and label the axes. We also had to recall two inconsistencies Galileo found using his self-invented telescope with the catholic church's theory re: the universe and explain them. Bleh.

    physics or maths 2U?

Well, personally I think its a bit pointless doing physics without maths, seeing as anything you'll need to do in physics in future requires maths, and physics requires some maths already (e.g. calculus). But then again you could probably do it without it. Ask your physics teacher/science...

    Physics yearly

I always wonder what to do in the event that a question has either A) No answer or B) Two answers. Usually multiple choice is constructed so that its not black and white (unless its a number), so its hard to know what to do. In software design though, there werent many people, and a...

    Advanced English

It is partly quantity as well as quality. My response was 4.5 pages, got 13/15, and the marker said if it was at least another page it could have got full marks, but without that, it wasnt long enough. It was a 50 minute test btw.

    Physics yearly

You don't happen to have a past paper? Or anyone for that matter? Physics is my last on Monday. We weren't told about it except our teacher warned us it would be hard.

how much detail do your teachers give about exam questions?

We dont get told anything, which is good because it prepares you for the HSC.

    What gets worse?

    Jerseys

Ah cotton/polyester. The infallible combination. Does it look shiny or cotton-ish. I think the shiny look is very, very tacky.

    Jerseys

I heard that if you get cotton jerseys, the only design you can have is vertical and/or horizontal stripes, so anything with diagonals/designs/watermarks of the school logos has to be a polyester jersey. T/F?

10 Units or more for Year 12? What are you doing?

I've already done 2U IPT, next year I'm doing: 4u English 3u Maths Physics Economics My ext1 maths definitely isnt going to count (but i need an understanding of it for my desired uni degree), and probably my worst 2u of English wont either (or, if I happen to do well in them all, 2u of...

    Keeping Awake

Klaw man, whatever you do, do NOT lie down on your bed. I remember once, I was like 80% through my essay, just went to lie down on my bed at 3AM. Woke up at 6:30AM, extremely luckily. No explanation for that (would have usually slept in til at least 9 with that kind of lateness), and finished...
