They also may be after the retarding force mention by myeewyee to slow you down and result in you losing altitude. They will also be looking for the effects of these forces as it is analyse. So at a guess they will probably be looking for you to describe three forces and then describe the...

Who is sick of not getting enough lines to write on?

I agree with a lot of people are saying but from a markers point of view, if you are concise and answer the question asked and leave out the extra then there is enough room. Sadly most people add a lot of extra information that doesn't help there answer but isn't relevent. Worst I have seen is...

    Transistor in 1928

Its an assess question, so the final mark will be for giving your opinion, not just stating effects. They will be looking for direct links from the transistor to an impact on society. Eg, Transistor enabled more reliable long distance telephone communications. This has led to people being able...

Speed of electron in external magnetic field

Yep, the speed it constant but the direction changes, so the velocity changes and it is accelerating.

    Einstein

What it means is you need to say what he did. Eg brought in the idea of the speed of light being constant and length and time being relative to the observer. Then you had to clearly state how this was different. Eg. While length and mass were considered to be fix quantites before Einstein...

    Explanation of HSC Marks (Moderating)

If you read my earlier post, you would see I refered to it on my earlier post and it does not say your moderated assessment mark is someone elses exam mark as you posted earlier. It also make the point, if you read it fully that your raw assessment marks come into your moderated assessment...

    Explanation of HSC Marks (Moderating)

Kool, all I am going to say is what you are posting is against what the Board of Studies is posting. "Where students are placed on the same mark, any subsequent processing of the marks cannot separate these performances. When ‘clumped’ assessment marks are moderated, all the students who are...
  19. H

    equal ranks

The moderated assessment mark will be the same. For equal first, the moderated assessment mark will be equal to the average of the first exam marks. For the others it will be the same mark that comes out in the moderation process.

    Explanation of HSC Marks (Moderating)

I understand it fine, and from your answer, you try and take a small sampe and extrapolate into something that is not always the case. If your at the top of the rankings or perform in the same way as your rankings then this is true. IF you are not at the top of the rankings, you want to...
