yes :D hehe, using normal logic, yes, it would seem impossible that anything can ever have zero resistance. after all, resistance is caused from collisions with the lattice, or with each other (electron bumping into another electron). however, with superconductors, they have this strange...

    VOTE UR estimated UAI (warning!!!!)

well, looking at the poll, 48% of people believe they'll get above 90 I'd say its a fairly smart cohort in here!

Your thoughts on the 2002 HSC

yea I think it was far too easy its probably just the BOS responding to all the complaints last year that it was too hard, or harder than the specimen papers, and so they wanted this year to just satisfy and refine the syllabus, so that they can actually give stuff that's harder next year...

I have two asian friends who are going to the formal with aussie chicks, but actual relationships? nah, I don't know of any.

Lo is the length of the spaceship, according to the person inside the ship, as I presume your saying (from the q) Lv is the length of the spaceship seen by an outside observor. just because the subscript says 'o' doesn't mean its saying its the observor! The question asks what effects on...

?? according to the lorenz transformation equations for length, the spaceship would've contracted from the perspective of the observor Length seen by observor = length seen by passenger x (sqrt(1-v^2/c^2) The way Jacaranda writes it: Lv = Lo x (sqrt(1-v^2/c^2) where Lv is length of...

superconductors, generation, transmission and transport Q

huh? how would lenz's law resist the motion? Sure, the superconductor under the train will repel the superconductor below the train, but its not exactly going to induce a current in the superconductor below, because the superconductor below will expel the magnetic field from the superconductor...

    Case Study

well...considering that the case study is primarily a topic for the essay questions, I'd say that there's a very good chance of them setting something like that! but the chance of them doing the same thing two years in a row? who knows... yes, as minai points out in another one of these...

    HSC Physics Aftermath

we have to stay in, not allowed to go out. Took about 2hrs yea, (spent half an hour on that last bit of the option), checked over for half an hour, then went to sleep.

    Beating your regular classmates..

I wouldn't say coming 11th is bad...unless there's only 11 people who do 3u maths there :p and I don't think anyone can really say how well you'll do for your 3unit mark, since your rank doesn't really matter that much. It's more the difference in marks between yours, and the guys above you...

Do you feel confident about achieving the UAI which you are aiming for?

yes but maybe that's because everyone else is telling me that I'm going to :p but hey, the best thing about it, is that I won't even be near australia, or a phone, when the UAI comes out! so I won't know what I get til later...much later...if all goes to plan...:D its a good thing that I...

    estimation

no, you needed to use the formula to determine g if you look at the formula, its (rearranged): g=(2pi)^2(T^2/L) where (2pi)^2 is just a constant, and T^2/L is the gradient of the curve.
