    4U Graphing question

You find out where the tangent is vertical or horizontal. Edit: got beaten to it. You could also note that the function is symmetrical in x and y, which means that the line y=x is an axis of symmetry

    What you hate about UNSW

I know they do! They look for evidence of assignments being plagiarised, among other things.

    Certified Transcript

I had to get one of these things once before. Lodge your application in person at Student Central and have a chat to the people there - they might be able to expedite the procedure if you have some sort of mitigating circumstances. I think you can also get the transcript quicker if you pick it...

[ Which one do you prefer working with ] Pi or e

High school folk do that. I think its cause they don't learn Euler's formula in the HSC.

What does 'Excluded' mean for each course?

You can't count both of them as credit towards your degree, so if you complete one, you are not allowed to do the other.

    Uni assignments help?

Do you have some sort of learning centre at your uni? They usually run classes that help with research, referencing and essay writing skills. If you need more specific help than that, ask your tutor as darkwolfzx says, but basically uni is all about acquiring some self learning skills.

    Ellipse Question

OK, a line that is perpendicular to the given line is going to have the form 2x-3y= k for some constant k. Rearrange this as 2x=3y+k, and substitute this into the equation for the ellipse. You should get a quadratic in y. Find the discriminant of the quadratic in terms of k and find...

Questions about japanese speaking and writing exams (continuers)

Dunno about what goes on with HSC Japanese, but in Japan, one generally writes in the plain form. It would be quite odd to use 'masu' form in writing except for directly quoted speech.

Finding area of triangle with vector product

We use the fact that the feet of the poles form an equilateral triangle. We can centre the coordinate system whereever we like, so I am going to put the origin halfway between the feet of two of the poles. Then the coordinates of the feet of the poles are (5,0,0), (-5,0,0) and (0...

    Radians and Trigonometry.

Sorry, I thought that there was the products to sums or sums to products formula in there somewhere (probably cause that's the way that I solved it). Products to sums/sums to products certainly isn't in the 2u syllabus. BTW, fitzpatrick was originally written for some Victorian course about...

    Radians and Trigonometry.

Considering that the trig identites that Trebla used aren't even in the 2 unit syllabus, I think using the calculator would be just fine.

    Finding functions

We can rearrange the equation to y=-x^2 Then it is clear that this is function of x, not y.

    Pdhpe Teaching

UNSW has something like that. We used to get nascent PDHPE teachers at education tutes from time to time. Maybe you do a combined degree with exercise science and education.
