What did people write about an event and the impact for history?
Who wrote about Whitlam and what did they write about?

i did Freedom Rides and how it won media attention, public awarness of injustice done to aboriginal people, made us realize non-violence was the way to go coz the freedom riders just hired a bus and drove across country nsw [i guess they weren't bothered to get guns] and it was also 1 of the significant reasons 4 the success of 1967 referendum

hope its rite but b_d

I was a bit disappointed. I was really expecting an extended response on urban growth/decline!

I was surprised that it didn't ask us to write about a particular Prime Minister, too.

I was completely caught off-guard with the extended response... Something to do with human rights?

Overall, I think it was OK. I thoroughly studied the previous papers. In comparison to the previous papers to the 2009 HSIE paper, it's changed quite significantly.
I dunno, haha -- just my oppinion...

Anyways,
Good luck with your results, to all Yr. 10's!

I still have my comp. test on Friday T__T

Can someone who did the Whitlam Dismissal tell me what they wrote about the impacts?
Whitlam was dismissed from office by John Kerr.
This was followed by public outrage, as they began the question the reserve powers that the Governor General had.
In the end, Labor Party lost power and Liberal Party regained power under Malcolm Fraser.

That's what I wrote. I have to admit though, that there was not much to talk about for Whitlam.

geography = average
- multiple choice i stuffed up, the equality/social justice question left me in two minds (changed my mind to equality in the last minute and turns out the answer was social justice :mad1:)
- short responses could have been better. they disadvantaged people who had studied the content and anyone could have bluffed those responses based on general knowledge really...
- extended response was fair i thought, but HARDLY ANY ROOM TO WRITE ... since when are extended responses in geography only a page? :( and geography extended response was shorter than that of for history...

history = better than geography
- kept having repeated answers in multiple choice (i.e. AAADDDCCC)
- i preferred the history short/extended response/s ...

all in all, geo could definitely have been better but both were average tests i guess.

i HATE HATE HATE the time after school certificate (or any test for that matter) when you think "i should have written this" or "why didn't i do that" or "i'm going to lose x marks because i should have done such and such"... can't wait for the marks to come back. quite the impatient person you see :spin:

Q2 was New Caledonia, couldn't be any other country...

The question based on the map of Darwin was a satellite view of it, similar to the stuff you'd see in Google Earth...

The correct answer to the question with the barometers and clinometers would have been the tape measure and clinometer =P

New Caledonia for Q2
I put Aerial, but I'm now becoming convinced that it is Satellite.
Tape Measure + Clinometer
