Yep, Id rather do 2-3 continues hours rather than 12 of "listening too music"

after 2 hours of continues study though, my brain hurts (no music just pure hard study)

Same, minus the "pure hard study" bit. All I did today was read 10 chapters of Emma and I got so bored.

For me music helps me on my study sessions, not too loud that i'd start dancing :uhhuh: .
It masks the stressfullness.

what the hells wrong with several hours of constant study? you fulfilled all you can do and got a whole day left too relax, or if youre creative, study a few hours later for another 3 hours

my theory: a good song will make you dance or sing regardless, and a shitty song is not worth listening to anyway =p Therefore i never listen to music while studying.

i was recommended too listen too "Bethhoven" and i thought "WTF?" and didnt

music knocks your mind off course, you need discipline too sit and study for several hours, i mean it only gets harder in uni, why not start now?
i used too think 2 hours a day is alot, now i see that as only half of minimum of what id do prior a major exam

Music works differently for different people. I always put chillout music on when I studied, worked great for me. Slow tempo stuff is best though, anything fast than 90bpm and it will probably be counter productive.

Yeah, same, I listen to the radio when I study. I must say, it does distract you when you hear your fav songs though.

I agree with mack. thats why classicial music is suggested, its often calm and slow. (moves at the same speed as your brain! ;)) it does help.. works with me

yes very worried,i'm surprised you can do maths while listening to music.

I can't even do Geography and listen to music at the same, drives me nuts.
