Trials are usually harder than the actual school certificate so don't worry. I think you have a full house of band 6's in the bag.

I suppose I'll just list my marks too, then =]

English - 82/90 (thought I did the worst in english but voila! 1st)
Maths - 89/100 (very happy, with no study at all! 2nd)
Science - 81/100 (very disappointed with this... came 5th)
History - 46/50 (disappointed again - think it was 2nd?)
Geography - 46/50 (okay with it - think it was the top mark, but can't be sure..)
Visual Arts - 50/50 (made crap up and got full marks haha)
History (elec.) - haven't got them back, but I'm told it's early to mid nineties

Overall, it was okay. Better marks than I thought, but I'm such a pessimist when it comes to marks.. I know everyone says not to stress over SC, but I think it's reasonable to want to get 95+, or at the very least 90+ in all of them. What do you guys think?

Well here are mine:

English - 91% (Average was high 70s)
Maths - 94% (Average was in the 80s)
Science - 83% (Average was in the mid 70s)
History - 80% (Average was in the 80s)
Geography - 82% (Average was in the 70s)

Personally, I feel I performed rather poorly in my trials. For me, 90% is a pass and 95% is a good mark.

BTW, for all you out there that don't know, there is such a thing as SCALING in the SC.

It's just called "Aligning". I read this in the forums and my English teacher has confirmed this. They compare every single question you answered and the mark you got with every other student and put it in the computer to do the "aligning".

So, a raw mark does not indicate your band. Sometimes, a 78% can be scaled to 82%.

i did shocking in my trials i got alright for history so far still extended response i came first in science but for geo the teahcer is a fag i have the answer they asked for but he wants me to elaborate so half mark all round which left me with 33/50 as for english havent got it back yet and for maths no working out ment i lost heaps all round with a mark of 68% so a complete fuck up all round lol i hope i learn from my mistakes btw those marks are the top 4 all round -_- nway ppl dont stress leave that for the HSC not these completely off topic subjects

Hahahahaha, I got exactly 69 in three of my exams. The others were 70s and an 85

i've asked around and apparently our school's trial exams are 5x harder than the actual sc every year.
i don't know why that is.
either way, i'm not happy with my trial marks. :x

I FINALLY got all my trial exam marks back today.
Science was delayed a lot cos two science teachers went to CANADA for the last 3 weeks.. We're basically self-teaching evolution, health & disease and materials ourselves for the school certificate at the moment (from textbook and THOUSANDS of sheets) ........ it sucks.



Maths: 98%, 95% (two exams; )

Science: 89% (disappointing, considering I'd already seen half the questions from past SC science papers)

History: 86% (quite relieved......but I think it was easily marked)

Geo: 92% (wtf..? I hate this subject)

English: 88% (micraculously topped the year)
