715 for a year. but you also get pool+fitness classes.
I think it was 455 for mine for a year, but it was only gym.
715? thats fukin ridiculous

so lets say you go to uni for around 4 years. thats 2860 altogether. you could buy your own gym equipment for that sort of money and set it up at home.

You can't get a pool for $715.

715 is standard for most gyms though and the fact that it includes pool justifies the price. what's not justified though is removing the gym member only option and forcing us to pay for services that won't even be used by most of the current members.

Could go up to them and ask if they can cut you a special deal for a 'just gym' thing.

Money-making, perhaps. Need to fund the 97459275278535982th Engineering building.

But seriously, like with banks if you call them apparently you can get better rates, so... I suppose you could cut a deal with them if you went up to them in-person and asked for one and argued "I'm not going to use your pool anyway".

i dont think you understand how expensive gyms are

of course its always cheaper to buy your own equipment. $715 seems pretty cheap for including a pool.

yeah, they shouldn't have removed the other options...
it seems like they want to make more money and make less people go to gym.

They actually made it cheaper though, than before.

Maybe they trying to make up for the loss in investment from SG UNSW and other random crap that UNSW waste on.

OTT.. but how long does it take for UNSW to upgrade they lift system in Library.. it been 2 years already.

Well in reality 715 dollars is not much for gym, pool and lessons.

ye its really not. keeping in mind some gyms around sydney can charge up to $1000+ for the gym option only
