    Can they SPECIFY????

Exactly, for a given question, say there's a shakespeare, a film, and poetry. If they ask for 2 scenes from the shakespeare, is that equivalent to 2 scenes from the film in terms of how much it restricts what you can talk about? And are either of those equivalent to 2 poems from an...

lol, using the bible as related material. That's silly and yet genius at the same time. You should use the Koran as your other related material.

    Can they SPECIFY????

Poems huh? I don't do any poetry in the modules so I haven't looked. In Shakespeare, in Module B they asked to "refer to two extracts" once, but they've never said any specific scenes. In Frontline, I don't think they're going to specify episodes. Your set text is defined to be all of...

how many words r u able to write in 40 min?

Yes, I'd say the average non-athritis sufferer/amputee can write some 900 - 1200 words in 40 minutes. Oh, that's about 4 A4 pages for me, but that changes more for everyone because of handwriting style/size/spacing, etc. It's even more varied with BoS booklets.

I'd trust them. After the Journey's paper, I honestly believe they're making it simple for us so we can get good marks, just so they can say their education system is awesome.

    Paper two, specifying...

They can specify whatever they want; if they wanted to, they could tell you to make reference to a specific part of a specific frontline episode, or a specific stanza of one of the poems. But they just won't.

What will NOT be an essay in 2005?

I've got all the past quesitons here, but I don't have them labelled by year so I honestly don't know. I'd say so, because Module C has only been an essay once, while Module B has only NOT been an essay once, and Module A has been an essay every year. ... So if we assume this theory to be...

Studying for English - a guide for illiterates:

Simple: They go to an elite private school that doesn't offer standard or ESL, so they have to do advanced alongside their 4 unit maths, classical greek and latin extension, and various distinction courses. Remeber kids: a 60 in english combined with a 95 in everything else is still good for...
