Post Your 2012 University Offers Here!

Same thing as normal Science but a bit harder... I love the flexibility of a science degree. Try engineering out and if you decide to transfer some of those units such as maths and bio will still count.

is there any way to motivate myself to write an essay

That is completely normal. You don't have to do everything in one go. When I was in high school I would list the points in the introduction, then in that order would write a paragraph for each of those points. My teachers told me that it was a bad idea to do so but I managed to get Band 6 and...

Re: What do you think of this degree UTS. B. business/ B. science in IT??? You'll either really hate it or learn to live with the IT side. If you want to do business then just do business. There would be no point in you getting an IT degree if you're not going to use it the future.

Practical getting a laptop for uni?

You probably won't need it all the time at uni. But get one if you're planning to study on the go or at the library. You don't really need a super computer either since you're just going to use it for word processing. So a netbook or a cheap 13" laptop would do. If you're a big spender and...

How to study/prepare before uni starts?

You don't need to study/prepare for anything whatsoever for comp sci tech. You'll be taught everything from scratch. Just enjoy your break before the suffering and pain begins... You'll learn Java in INFO1103 and Python in INFO1903. Learn those if you're eager to get a head start.

How does the timetable work at USYD???

You are given a timetable however you can make slight changes to it. You will not be disadvantaged since timetables are released (I think) 1 week before the semester starts.
