I think the belonging essay will be just be a broad one about one of those aspects of belonging (except understanding cause it was done in 2009). My bet is on experiences.

Possibly say

"Every one has a desire to find ones place" ....

then you can talk about every aspect of belonging.

world..

All of which help an individual find ones place

heya, if the question is asking you to focus on environment, you'd want to be talking about extrinsic factors such as cultural identity, community, assimilation within family etc

i spose you could keep mentioning mental environment, that's smart
but its more of an intrinsic factor imo
