On his final post, Alan would like to announce that he will copy and paste all posts from begging to end (when he has time) and send a copy to all who have contributed, as he believes this is a very important event.

He also gets the crazy idea of sending the transcript to a publisher (if no one objects of course) and seeing if this thread has publishing potential.

Alan now realise the oddness of his idea and chooses to withdraw it.

Now Alan must be off to study.

[in first person]

Wish me luck everyone for physics. Love you guys all, to the most sincere level provided by our breif meeting.

[Alan exit]

Alan is off to sleep now, after two hours of study which has proven its value by his most recent multipul choice test result of 6/15!

*sighs.

Lynn begins to imagine that no amount of study will have any "value" in terms of a good mark... :(

Justin bids Alan a somewhat overdue goodnight, and all the best for his exam. He also suggests that if he does not know the work now, there is no point worrying about it.

Justin reminds Lynn to also say goodnight to Alan, which she does, she also wishes him all the best for his physics exam.

However, to Justin, she argues that not worrying does not seem to help stress levels.
She then goes back to *trying* to find and memorise quotes.

She considers a caffiene shot.

Justin hasn't taken notes for the last six months in Ancient History, so the extent of his study today will probably be a casual glance at whatever sheets and essays he does have. He feels the joy of two extra units, but feels saddened at the thought of three very boring hours tomorrow.

Justin advises against caffiene unless it's in the form of a soft drink. Coffee makes him pee a lot.

Lynn laughs, and sighs. She only has ten units. She is not sure whether she regrets that or not.

Justin would regret it if two of those units were Ancient History, however if he only had ten without Ancient, he would be more than happy. Justin should have dropped Ancient when he had the chance.

Lynn wishes that she need only do 8 units.

She feels that 10 units is just far too much and that the use of political violence in the Fall of the Roman Republic is really not all that interesting.

Justin states again that he does 12 units, and that perhaps Lynn feels the pressure is because all of hers count. Justin has some friends who do 13 units, and often ponders over whether he should have done Extension 1 maths, for the sake of having that extra bit of leeway. In addition, he curses the fact that he wasted time in Maths in Year 10, causing him to change his original subject selection and thus removing Extension 1 maths from the mixture.

Lynn agrees, her stress is probably due to pressure of all units counting, and she apologises if she has been overwhelmingly whingy or self-concerned over the last half-hour. She adds that perhaps Justin's ignorance of maths in yr 10 was not his fault but rather a decision made by Fate.

Justin does not have a problem with Lynn's venting, as he has done so at length thruoghout this thread.

Justin states that, no, he proved himself more than capable in Year 11 maths and blames his performance in Year 10 on spending each lesson talking about video games, TV, making chess sets out of paper, and generally wasting time.

Alas, Justin has many regrets, or at least two, from his HSC years, but now cares little, as it's almost over.

Lynn also has many regrets, but feels too tired to care. As few people are awake at this ungodly hour, she wonders about the value of an hour-long nap to refresh her mind to better prepare her for the enormous amounts of cramming to be done today.

Justin prepares for a day of online-ness, reading A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula LeGuin, and possibly glancing at Ancient History notes.

Lynn remarks that she has read the EarthSea quartet and wonders what Justin thinks of it so far. She also - finally - feels the caffiene effects of her hot chocolate settling in.

Justin read Earthsea once years ago, but was too young to enjoy it, though he is thoroughly enjoying it now.

Justin states that Lynn will probably lose all of her caffiene energy after a couple of hours, and he once used coffee to wake him up for moring Extension 2 lessons. He then lost all his energy at about 12 and was not fun to be around.

Lynn feels depressed about future los of energy. In fact, she feels it now.

She decides that an hour-long nap is in order. She bids Justin goodnight - again.

Lynn wishes she had Justin's flair. Nevertheless, she goes back to study with relish after being woken up by one of her dogs who enjoyed trampling all over her.

Justin's dogs don't wake him up like that. He has placed Bonnie outside for a while, and the puppies are sleeping in the box. The pups do, however, manage to wake him up from the other end of the house, as they decide to start barking at 6 in the morning.
