nah nothing will ever top ind vs aus in 01...well in my mind anyway...i had foxtel back then and saw close to every ball...

Although i do have to admit that this series has been the best ashes series ive seen...England deserves their current test ranking...

Everyone is talking about how England's attack has been dominant. While I am, for the most part, in agreement with this assessment, allow me to shed light on an alternative hypothesis:

GD McGrath. 4 innings for 36 unbeaten runs in the series.

In conclusion... SUCK ON THAT, POMMIES!!! :D

Australia needs to learn how to read reverse swing (yes easier said than done). Not surprisingly the Australian batsmen had some trouble. Reverse swing is not common in Australia.
shut up idiot... its the drift with the arm, that the aussies aint reading... they are expecting the ball to hit and stay straight, where the drift is moving the ball of the seem... eg.. katich's dismissal

Well you'd think that at least most of the top and middle order would be able to adjust for the swing.

After all, half of them go and play in England for their summer.

But a draw! Thankyou Punter for your innings. You may be a crappy captain, but you're a world class batsman.

England threw everything at us last night, and we stood firm.

This may just be the psychological edge we've been looking for all series.

What does it mean?

It means we only have to win one of the remaining tests to retain the ashes.
Trent Bridge is a good batting strip, so i say win the toss and make 500.

Interesting to see if they pick another bowler for Gillespie. It'd be good to see Tait.

Go you good things.

Good leave by Clarke. The tail has saved us again. Maybe we should reverse the order.

It seems to me that the Pommies are really troubling our lefty batsman.

not really the pommies, but flintoff, he is an excellent baller to lefties.
We have to keep clarkey and kato in the team, we need to drop hayden and bring in hussey, not hodge becuz he cant open. But if clarke is out hodge will have to come in too.

also agree punter led from the front, wat a captian's knock, i hope the other batsmen can learn from his knock.. BE PATIENT

katich obviously cant play the swinging ball that well, and hussey would be the best replacement since hussey scored 3000 runs in a season twice in england.

hayden isnt thinking straight but hes pure class and what he has done in the past will count for him.

im not a swing bowler, but if the batsmen bat further out of their crease, the bowlers would have to pitch it shorter and hence give it either less air or less pace right? wouldnt that be the best way to counter jones and flintoff?

if you stand too far out, you are also reducing the reaction time you have to the quicks.
