Magnetic Flux is a scalar quantity.

This misconception is common. Scalars can be both positive and negative. These are called 'signed' scalars. Basically, a scalar is something which can be represented by a single number. Energy is a scalar and can also be negative, same as work. Magnetic flux is an example of what is called a...

    Need Help Here :)

Fair enough EMF would be 4x, (2x due to magnets and 2x due to coil), but if you now have twice the length of coil, wouldnt resistance of the coil then be doubled, as resistance is proportional to length? Therefore effectively cancelling out the doubling of the EMF? :)

SUPERCONDUCTORS: How do Cooper pairs explain superconductivity?

As someth1ng says, the model we use doesn't explain why there is no resistance and is in fact, really incorrect as it violates the law of conservation of momentum and doesnt take into account the spin of the electrons. Basically, you just have to accept that the formation of Cooper pairs and...

    Physics Tutor

Regarding the poll: As with anything, there are the good and the not so good. So, it definitely does depend on who you go to. Also, one tutor may be awesome for one particular student, but not for another student. So, although reputation is good, it really depends on what you are after. The...
