How to write a poem on the Victorian Era? =P

Re: Anyone spare a poem or how to make one? =P On the contrary to Aplus' idea you could do a male perspective - have a man explaining the wonders and positives of his life while at the same time highlighting the strongly unjust treatment of women (what I mean is make it so the abuse of women's...

Othello is relevant to contemporary society?

Definitely agree with that statement. Choose maybe 3-5 themes in Othello and explain each one briefly linking it to a modern event or way of thinking (e.g. racism in Othello to Cronulla riots). Or go all out and do one major theme and have each paragraph as an aspect of that theme (e.g. for...

How to work on your essay topic sentences?

A topic sentence should be a general kind of "preview" of the paragraph. Keep it simple, make it really, really clear what your paragraph will be about. For example, Donne’s use of techniques enables us to vividly understand the aspects of life and experience inherent in ‘Batter my Heart’...

    Writing a good response

As a general rule, what you have above is great (point, quote, comment; technique, example, analysis; idea/answer, evidence, explanation). In a short answer you simply don't have the room to repeat as you would in an extended response/essay. I find with short answers if you've answered it...

    Writing a good response

Knowing what the question means! Not striving for perfection! Making sense! Writing so that everything you write relates directly back to the question! But it's easier said than done... short answers can be frustratingly hard at times.

    Half-Yearly Thoughts

Assignments: taking your time and know exactly what the question means, and therefore work out an answer that thoroughly answers this question. Exams: have a good exam technique (e.g. in maths, effeciency - not too fast so that the silly errors pile on but not too slow that you won't be able...

    Impossible essay question?

Yeh, from what you've said it the two parts to the question - purpose and evaluate don't seem to go together. Maybe, the purpose of the artwork is fairly clear but you have to evaluate how well this purpose is conveyed through arty stuff (as you can infer I don't do art)

    13 units vs 11 units

No (I don't think). If you do 3-unit maths, the extension 1 part can only count as 1 unit i.e. stays as 40/50 (1 unit being /50) in your UAI since you studied it as 1 unit for your HSC.

    Simple Chem Question =[

um, we did a small topic on basic definitions - then did Better Health for Individuals: looking at how exercise, nutrition, drugs etc affect health - now we are doing the body in motion: biomechanics of human movement, components of fitness, muscular system, skeletal system...

    Simple Chem Question =[

True... We use weight in PDHPE too, it just annoys me that in physics they teach you weight is a force that differs depending on the acceleration due to gravity, not how heavy something is.

    Simple Chem Question =[

It clashed with PDHPE - I am kinda regretting the choice (since PDHPE is not my cup of tea anymore). I would of loved the mathsy side to physics, but oh well, can't change now!
